Hey there Dream Warriors -
If you just joined us: Welcome! And thanks for backing.
If you've been with us from the beginning: thanks again!
We just sent out the Day 3 Early Backer Bonus through Kickstarter messages, so please check your inbox for a special gift. This is our way of saying thanks for helping us get off to a great start!
Now, before I get to the meat of the update...
Some of you may have found us through a lengthy preview we shared with a few other campaigns. If that's you, please know that DREAMQUEST Volume 1 is a full 48 pages, so to get the complete story, you'll need to join us at a digital or physical catch-up tier.
In other words: if you only purchase Volume 2 after reading the preview, you might feel like you missed something (because you did!)
Got it?
Good.
Now on to the main attraction...
STRETCH GOAL #1
We are rapidly approaching our first stretch goal at $7,500.
At that point, we'll unlock a digital bundle of bonus books for everyone at the Digital Deluxe Tier and up.
What books, and how many? That's up to you, in a sense, because we are unlocking 1 comic for each 50 backers.
So far, that's 3 bonus books. How many we'll end up with is anyone's guess. But we'll let you know about them as we unlock the extras.
As for Stretch Goal #2... that's at $10,000.
And we're gonna need a bigger book.
Stay tuned!
Clay
FRIENDS OF FRIED
Kickstarter is a community, and as such, we like to end our updates with a spotlight on some of the great work being done on the platform. Like...
Athena Voltaire creator Steve Bryant is back on Kickstarter with his latest, about a rocker named Evie Van Helsing...who also happens to be a vampire slayer. Drawn by Don Cardenas (Spend the Night, Off into the Sunset, Packs of the Low Country), with colors by Jason Millet (Athena Voltaire, Archie Versus Predator), Evie and the Helsings is a 4-issue miniseries that follows Evie's adventures as she navigates life between two worlds. It's like Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Josie and the Pussycats by way of Ash Versus Evil Dead.
I've backed every issue so far, and I can safely say it's well worth the cover charge. Steve and team have created something unique here, and I can't wait to see how it all wraps up.
So if that sounds like a rockin' good time, help them stake some more stretch goals why don't you?
